Neutrophil Gelatinase-Associated Lipocalin (NGAL) Elisa Kits for Kidney Injury
Intended Use
NGAL Rapid Test Kit(Colloidal Gold) is intended for qualitative determination of NGAL levels in urine in vitro diagnostic. It is used as a supplementary method in the early diagnosis of acute kidney injury(AKI), as NGAL is an early and sensitive biomarker of AKI.
Pack Format
| Strip | 1pc/box, 25 pcs/cask, 100 pcs/box; |
| Cassette | 1pc/box, 5 pcs/box, 50 pcs/box; |
| Midstream | 1pc/box, 20 pcs/box; |
Product superiority
High sensitivity and specificity; Convenient and fast;
Composition
Test Device Formats: Individually packed / Strip / Cassette / Midstream
Main Test Components: Anti-antibody 1, anti-NGAL antibody 2, Goat Anti-Chicken lgY, Chicken lgY, Chloroauric acid, NC membrane.
Accessory: Dropper (for test cassette)
Storage and Expiry Date
Store the Kit at 4~30°C in a cool, dry place, protected from light. Do not freeze.
The expiry date is printed on the package. Do not use after this date.
Once the device cask is opened, it is valid for 30 days. Always close the cap tightly after use.
Specimen Collection
Collect urine specimens using conventional laboratory procedures.
Use a clean, dry disposable plastic or glass container. Do not use any preservatives.
Avoid consuming large amounts of liquid or drinks 2 hours prior to collection to prevent inaccurate results.
If sediment is present, centrifuge, filter, or allow it to settle, and use the supernatant.
Specimens can be refrigerated at 2~8°C for up to 48 hours if not tested immediately.
For long-term storage, keep specimens below -20°C and avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Before testing, bring refrigerated specimens to room temperature and ensure frozen specimens are completely thawed.
Precaution: All specimens may be infectious. When handling urine, wear disposable gloves and masks to prevent contact.
Tseting Procedure
Bring the test kit to room temperature (20~30°C) before use.
Remove the test kit from the foil pouch. Use it within 15 minutes. Test immediately if the environment is above 30°C or highly humid.
For Strip: Immerse the test strip in urine up to the max line (arrow direction) for 10-15 seconds. Remove and place it on a non-absorbent flat surface.
For Cassette: Place the cassette on a clean, level surface. Hold the dropper vertically and add 2 full drops of urine (approx. 80 μL) into the specimen well (S), avoiding air bubbles. Start the timer.
For Midstream: Dip the midstream vertically into the urine for 10-15 seconds, ensuring the plastic part remains dry. Remove and place it on a non-absorbent flat surface.
Wait for colored line(s) to appear. Read the result at 12-15 minutes. Do not interpret results after 20 minutes.

Result Interpretation
Positive (+): Two colored lines appear (one in test line region T, one in control line region C). This indicates NGAL in urine exceeds the cut-off value.
Negative (-): One colored line appears in the control line region (C). No line appears in the test line region (T). This indicates NGAL in urine is below the cut-off value.
Invalid: No colored line appears in the control region (C). This may be due to incorrect operation or product damage. Repeat the test with a new device. If the problem persists, discontinue use of the batch and contact your local supplier.
Note: The result interpretation for the midstream format is the same as for the strip format.

Limitations
This test is for qualitative determination only. A positive result (NGAL concentration >20ng/mL) does not solely confirm kidney injury.
For in vitro diagnostic use only. Do not reuse.
Read results promptly; results may be incorrect after 20 minutes.
